Establishing Criteria to Evaluate a Science Paper

The criterion that our class set for evaluating a science paper were:
1) References and sources are credible
2) Science methods are valid (data analysis, accuracy, repeatability, open perspective, non-bias perspective)
3) Legitimacy of the paper now (rather than several years ago)

I really did not have many other ideas to add to this list for evaluation. Many of the criterion I was going to propose had already been put in.
