Penny Weights

For this presentation, my group answered these questions by considering both mass and weight. This meant that we took gravity into consideration as well as a simple weighing of the pennies. We also spent a bit of time delving into the history of the pennies, which included where the penny was made and when it was made. After doing some research, we found that pennies in the United States were created amongst different mint factories depending on the year. It was also brought to our attention that the composition of a penny may have differentiated upon its year of creation. Lastly, we spoke about how tarnishing and oxidation throughout time may have had impact on a peny's weight.

I felt that our group did a good job presenting the information we found. Coming from a background of science however, we all could have put forth a little more effort into describing scientific methods and more biochemical effects and such. It seemed that most of the other groups also tended to present information as we did, which meant describing the pennies' history and using quite a bit of filler for details.
